Jonah, or as in the Islamic sources Yunus, was a prophet that is believed by all Abrahamic religions. Prophet Jonah (Yunus) was sent to Ninevah (a city in present day Iraq). He warned the people about their evil ways and told them to follow God but they would not listen.
His story is a unique and compelling story that is mentioned both in the Quran and in the Bible. Chapter Yunus (surah al Yunus) of the Quran narrates the story of Prophet Yunus.
